Clear Penetrating Epoxy Sealer™ – CPES

Price range: $98.00 through $1,748.00

Deep protection from the inside out — stops rot, strengthens wood, and seals against moisture.

This low-viscosity, two-part epoxy system is designed to deeply penetrate wood fibers, reinforcing and sealing them from within. Ideal for restoration work, marine applications, exterior carpentry, or any project where wood needs long-lasting protection.

What is Clear Penetrating Epoxy Sealer?

A two-component clear epoxy (Part A & Part B) formulated with slow-evaporating solvents and high-performance resins. Its unique chemistry allows it to soak deep into porous or damaged wood before curing — creating a hardened internal structure that resists decay.

What it’s for:

  • Rebuilding rotten or soft wood
  • Preventing fungal growth and future rot
  • Sealing wood before painting, varnishing, or finishing
  • Extending the lifespan of wood exposed to weather or water

Why Clear Penetrating Epoxy Sealer works:

  • Extreme penetration — Clear Penetrating Epoxy Sealer™ reaches deep into degraded wood fibers
  • Anti-fungal protection — contains biocides to prevent mold and fungus
  • Seals from within — moisture-proof, strengthens structure
  • Improves adhesion — creates a perfect base layer for paints and finishes

Clear Penetrating Epoxy Sealer™ is perfect for:

  • Wooden boats and marine repairs
  • Window frames, doors, decks, fences
  • Antique furniture restoration
  • Construction joints and structural wood exposed to the elements

How to use Clear Penetrating Epoxy Sealer:

  1. Mix equal parts of resin (Part A) and hardener (Part B).
  2. Apply with brush, syringe, or by soaking — depending on the job.
  3. Let it soak in; do not allow excess to pool on the surface.
  4. Allow solvents to evaporate and the epoxy to cure fully before applying topcoat or paint.

Awesome product! I discovered it while working on my boats and use it alot in construction. I used it on a set of doors I built for my garden shed and they still look beautiful 3 years later. It’s pretty nasty stuff when using it so use it outside or a well ventilated area and use gloves and respirator.

Using this stuff years ago under the front deck…I believe I had a 60’s flashback…felt real good

Mahoganymadness

Fumes are nasty as it cures, so wear a respirator, not just a dust mask. Careful about getting it on your skin, it burns. I coated the bottom of my Lyman when restoring which was too big to flip, so I bought a cheap Harbor Freight full face mask. Worked great at protecting me from chemical burns and just throw it away when done.

Used and loved the stuff for years. Don’t forget the FILLIT stuff they sell…super for fill and repair. John in VA
