Awesome product! I discovered it while working on my boats and use it alot in construction. I used it on a set of doors I built for my garden shed and they still look beautiful 3 years later. It’s pretty nasty stuff when using it so use it outside or a well ventilated area and use gloves and respirator.

Using this stuff years ago under the front deck…I believe I had a 60’s flashback…felt real good

Good stuff but highly toxic. Keep pets away and yourself protected.

Fumes are nasty as it cures, so wear a respirator, not just a dust mask. Careful about getting it on your skin, it burns. I coated the bottom of my Lyman when restoring which was too big to flip, so I bought a cheap Harbor Freight full face mask. Worked great at protecting me from chemical burns and just throw it away when done.

Smith’s does seem to do what it claims. That is refreshing this day in age.

Tahoe will suck the life out of anything (very dry). The weather in Tahoe is very dry in the summer. Years ago the late Dave Wright used Smith’s on the wood facia on his lake front cabin. He was having to repaint it every summer until he used Smith’s as a primer for the oil base enamel. The Smith’s greatly extended the life of the paint job. Good stuff we use it in our well ventilated shop, usually the last thing we do in the afternoon.

Fairing compound to follow, if you choose — works great before that gorgeous copper bronze finish.
